The rental process
The rental process can feel daunting, but at Honeydell Estate Agents, we guide you through every stage from start to finish. Once referencing has been successfully completed, we will confirm a move-in date with both you and the landlord. All necessary legal documents, including your Assured Periodic Tenancy (APT) agreement, will be sent to you electronically to review and e-sign before your tenancy begins.

Permitted Payment
In accordance with the Tenant Fees Act 2019, the following permitted payments may apply when renting a property through Honeydell Estate Agents in Walderslade, Chatham, and across Kent:
- A holding deposit equivalent to 1 week’s rent
- A tenancy deposit equivalent to 5 weeks’ rent
- A payment of up to £50 for changes to a tenancy agreement, when requested by the tenant (or reasonable costs incurred if higher)
- Interest charged at 3% above the Bank of England base rate for rent payments more than 14 days overdue
- A £25 charge for replacement of lost keys, fobs, or security devices
- Payments associated with early termination of the tenancy, when requested by the tenant
- Payments to utility providers and services including electricity, gas, water, council tax, TV licence, and communications services
- Any other payments permitted under relevant lettings legislation
